Fungal infections/ringworm
Causes ring like red circular rashes with itching & irritation. During the summer season, the chances of infection increases. Can infect any part of body, but infection can be prevented by following precautions as below:- Regular Bathing
- Before Wearing clothes, drying out the groin area to prevent excess moisture.
- Wear loose fitting clothes.
- Don’t share your towel with any of the family member.
- Drying clothes in sunlight for atleast 2 hours.
- Wearing under garments after ironing them.
- keeping hair, nails & scalp clean.
- Wearing well ventilated shoes with cotton socks.
Bacterial Infections
like cellulitis, erysipelas, impetigo, folliculitis, furuncle and carbuncles. Most common bacterias are staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus species. Predisposed individuals are children , elderly, pregnant women, HIV positive, diabetics,
Treatment includes antibiotics depending on sensitivity of causing organism.

Parastic Infections
Scabies- caused by a parasite “sarcoptes scabiei” and this infection can spread to each other by close contact . This presents as multiple papular lesions with sever itching more during night. Whole family or nearbys treatment is must to prevent reccurence.
other parastic infections include pediculosis (capitis, corporis, pubic), hookworm related cutaneous larva migrans.
